I started completely from scratch, learning as I went from watching Monty Don on Gardeners’ World. Progress was slow, with plenty of dying plants and countless rounds of digging things up and moving them around.

Patience, trial and error. It all takes time. I’m always learning something new and finding better ways to do things. Each season brings another chance to experiment and see what works.

The turning point came when I designed the twin patios. For the first time, the garden felt connected and purposeful, and the layout of the property finally made sense.

By early spring of 2024, I finally had enough established plants to divide and use throughout the garden. It made it possible to shape and plant the surrounding beds quickly, bringing the new patios and the rest of the space together.

Since designing my own garden, I’ve continued to expand my knowledge through classes at the Morris Arboretum and am currently pursuing a landscape design certificate through Longwood Gardens. I’m excited to bring both my hands-on gardening experience and design expertise to help you create a garden that is beautiful, functional, and uniquely yours.

Below are photos from my garden throughout 2025, capturing each season. I place a strong emphasis on seasonal interest, ensuring the garden offers beauty and surprises all year round.
